Mexico City, [March 30 - 2025] – Following the success of the renowned band XIPE TOTEC, winner of a Mexican Grammy, musician and composer Martin Martinez unveils a bold new musical project: TLAOCOLCUICATL. This Mexican duo of Melodic Prehispanic Death Metal emerges as a fusion of existential lyricism and pre-Hispanic sonic traditions, creating a unique blend of modernity and antiquity. The band proudly announces the release of its debut LP, "Tlaihiyohuiliztli Nelia", an album that evokes the nostalgia of the late '90s melodic sound, drawing inspiration from legendary bands such as Gates Of Ishtar, At the Gates, Dark Tranquillity, and In Flames.

A Poetic Expression of Suffering and Existential Reflection
The very name of the band, Tlaocolcuicatl, means "songs of lament" in Nahuatl and draws inspiration from the poetry of Nezahualcóyotl, an exponent of the "Icnocuicatl" (orphan songs) tradition. Through their compositions, TLAOCOLCUICATL explores the philosophical pessimism of pre-Hispanic Mexico, taking the listener on a journey through existentialism, philosophical absurdity, and the void of humanity.

A Syncretism of Sounds and Languages
This project stands out for its unique combination of pre-Hispanic and Old World instruments: huehuetl, rattles, transverse flute, and harpsichord blend with electric guitars, bass, and drums, creating a soundscape that transcends time and space. This sonic fusion is further enriched by the band's linguistic choices, featuring lyrics in Nahuatl, Latin, English, and Spanish, representing humanity’s despair across ages and cultures.

Una Poetica di Dolore e Riflessione Esistenziale
Il nome stesso della band, Tlaocolcuicatl, significa "canti di lamento" in lingua Nahuatl e trae ispirazione dalla poesia di Nezahualcóyotl, esponente della tradizione "Icnocuicatl" (canti orfani). Attraverso le loro composizioni, TLAOCOLCUICATL esplora il pessimismo filosofico del Messico preispanico, trasportando l’ascoltatore in un viaggio attraverso esistenzialismo, assurdità filosofica e il vuoto dell’umanità.

Il progetto si distingue per l’uso combinato di strumenti preispanici e del Vecchio Mondo: huehuetl, sonagli, flauto traverso e clavicembalo si fondono con chitarre elettriche, basso e batteria, creando una dimensione sonora che trascende il tempo e lo spazio. DeFox Records and Invincible Records are proudly to announce the first solo album of Martin Martinez, master and philosopher of ancient, primordial pre-hispanic music from Mexico.

These small reflections about the life and death binomial capture the imagination of the creator of Tequipacholiztli, writing to his worldview little phrases of affliction and sorrow. The philosophical and lyrical influence of Cioran and Schopenhauer, as well as the music of Jorge Reyes and Antonio Zepeda are present, in a syncretistic project with pre-Columbian sounds, death metal and a lot of grief...

DeFox Records and Invincible Records are proudly to announce sixth album of old school Speed Metal band from Sorocaba, São Paulo, Brazil called CEIFADOR.
The product it's entitled "All hell breaking loose".
The Album contains eight aggressive songs in vein of classic old school metal act as Voivod, Venom, Hellhammer, Destruction, Vulcano, Sodom and other 80's bands.

Ceifador was formed in 2003, it's a Brazilian one man band from Sorocaba -SP, Brazil. Clayton Maximinus is author and composer and play all instruments, He was once guitarist in legendary thrash metal band Alcoholikiller.
In 2003 the band released an EP but the band was called Perverted Rites, that same year the name was changed to Ceifador.
The songs of the Ceifador talk about insanity, alcohol, serial murders and other classic heavy metal theme. Ceifador has already made live performances on the local underground scene.
The products recorded by the Ceifador have been released in Latin American countries and some Europeans.

DeFox Records and Invincible Records are thrilling to announce the dark doom metal band from Mexico called CONSOLAMENTUM their debut album it's entitled "Parfaite".
The release is published in November 15th - 2019.

The multi-instrumentalist Martín Martínez arrives with a new project of Stoner Epic Doom Metal called CONSOLAMENTUM, consists of only 2 members, (Phillip Yepez in the voice and Martín Martínez in music ).

Consolamentum is a sacrament applied in the medieval heresy of the Cathars, the Perfect (Parfaite) gave absolution to the dying with the help of the Gospel of St. John and the laying on of hands in the hope that their sins will be forgiven. It was also applied to whoever was to enter Cathar asceticism.

One half of the album is Stoner Metal and the other could be Epic Doom Metal. The riffs are direct and very reminiscent of the old Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Cathedral, Candlemass, Altar Of Oblivion, Dawn, Pÿlon or Trouble.

Like many bands of Doom Metal, they use elements of Primitive Christianity combined with the imagery of affliction, pain, sorrow, death and the absurdity of existence. Influenced by thinkers like Cioran and above all the work of the philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer "The World as Will and Representation", where there is a possible escape from pain in redemption, the progressive annihilation of will to live, loneliness, art and asceticism. The meditations of a hermit monk, where only he sees in this world pessimism and despair, based on certain biblical passages, are the lyrical inspiration of Consolamentum.

The legendary Prehispanic Death Metal XIPE TOTEC has returned with a new album called "Axomimitl" (crossed with arrows in Nahuatl language). This 2017 duo formed by Alex Camacho and Martin Martinez have achieved their most experimental album throughout their career. They gathered elements of their previous works to unify in "Axomimitl" a solid work in melody, harmony, speed, and brutality between multiple Pre-Columbian passages.
The introductions of Anthropology Documentaries and films on pre-Hispanic topics have been added here to show the listener a cultural boost. They follow the lyrics in Nahuatl language to get the appropriate atmosphere that has characterized XIPE TOTEC lately. A marshy, muddy, ancestral sound. A new element in this album has been the synthesizer pads to achieve an epic reminder of the Mesoamerican past cultures.
The longer, more melodic, more epic songs make "Axomimitl" the fundamental resource of composition. They incorporate different flutes and rattles that had not been played on previous records. Human sacrifices, mythology, and ancestral cosmovision, are basic in the lyric line, based on ancient legends and archaeological studies. As the Pre-Hispanic Metal is not only about dancers, nor say that they are warriors, it is also about a lot of reading and research. Here Archeology is a fundamental science as is music to art.
A song in particular, makes use of Spanish acoustic guitars, in strange conjunction with a pre-Hispanic passage. This rare fusion is allusive mainly to miscegenation, predominant in Latin America. Perhaps many find it strange, but the experimentation in this disk of XIPE TOTEC has been the main engine to go ahead.

The album titled "Nation of dogs" contains 10 songs in vein of Melodic Death Metal.

Dark Phantom’s idea began in Kirkuk, Iraq late in 2007. 
The impression was to reach their dreams in western music and to express the inferior circumstances in the city, and explain it to the universe. 

In 2008, the band was able to start up again and started rehearsal, despite all the dangers. Death was a consequence, of being caught playing this music in an Al Queda controlled situation. It was a volatile situation.
Dark Phantom could then, hardly compose their first song, before there was a decline in the band's musical direction. They turned to cover songs, and, at the same time, worked on original music.
In 2011, the band played their first concert in the city of Kirkuk. It was unforeseen, that under the same circumstances (volatile aggression, anti-metal music “laws”, etc.) a crowd came to see them and news of event rocked the small city.

After the band reputation was spread in the area, exactly in 2013 they started getting invitation to make a live concerts in different cities and indeed they responded, making 3 successful concerts in 3 different cities which was a great recovery and improvement for the band health ...
In 2016 finally the band start a negotiation with an international label which will prove well pleased to launch "Nation of dogs" in the world and spread Dark Phantom to Western metallers and in the music market.

The EP titled "Where the shadows stalk" contains 4 songs in vein of Modern Heavy Metal, originally published in CD format in 2010.

The Nocturne's project was born in Turin in 1999 by guitarist and composer Davide Masuelli. The first compositions were trying to melt the dark ambient music of the Raison d'Etre with the Gothic Rock sounds of the London After Midnight. The intention was to convey feelings and emotions even without using the voice.
The project has began as a trio formed by Davide and Massimo Cannoniero on rhythm and lead guitar and Luca Ramasso at the bass. The first job does not get the expected success because different points of view regarding music begin to rise. Therefore the members of the band start to take different paths. From Dark and Gothic style, to thrash metal style, Sodom, Slayer and early Metallica.
The compositional process does not stop and in 2008 Davide has his first 4 tracks finished.

The heavier style, from the first compositions requires a singing part, and the meeting with musician and sound engineer Andreas Polito owner of ROCK LAB in Turin, known for his work with artists such as Marco Minnemann (Joe Satriani, Steven Wilson Paul Gilbert etc..), Fabio Lione (Rhapsody, Vision Divine, Kamelot, Angra etc.), John Macaluso (Symphony X, James La Brie, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc.), Ricardo Confessors (Angra Shaman, etc.) marks the beginning of a new project page.
From that moment Davide dedicates himself exclusively to the song's composition while Andreas will ensure the preparation of vocals recording, masterfully performed by Andrea Racco (Ralkeon). Singer of the Opening Scenery and recently of the Etherna, the band's keyboardist Alessio Lucatti of theVision Divine. The lyrics are headed by Luca Ramasso.
Everything comes to life in 2010 with a project that includes 4 tracks called “Where the Shadows Stalk”.
The enthusiasm for the consents received, leads Davide to compose 5 more songs to rely again on Luca for the lyrics' writing. This time the need to give a professional touch in this new work brings Davide to exploit the abilities of the multi-instrumentalist Andreas Polito for the execution of the parts as guitar and bass and programmer for the drums and keyboards. Giving him the task of sound engineer and producer of the vocal lines, this time performed by Ralkeon.

In 2012, they released their second demo called "Mother". In this work we find the styles and influences from the beginning, in fact the sound and atmosphere are more gloomy and melancholy, with hints of electronic music and rock is 'less aggressive and more' melodic.
Special guest John Macaluso, drummer of international renown, now in Symphony X, known for his work with artists such as Yngwie J. Malmsteen and James LaBrie (Canadian singer best known for his role as lead singer of Dream Theater). In the songs "Mother" and "Along the Road" Macaluso worked on their submission giving a personal interpretation.
This work is well welcomed and received very good reviews both for the composition part and music.
In April 2014, for legal reasons, the original name is changed from Nocturne to Nocturna A.D.
The first two Ep, however, retain the original name.
The composition of the songs from the new album "Run Through Hell" of 2014 collects old song of the period 1999-2001. "Nothing to be everything" and "A new power" deepen the trademark thrash of the project, "Marionette" stretches in fact a bridge between Gothic Rock (London After Midnight) and the Italian Progressive Rock (Goblin), then moved toward atmospheres decidedly more Hard Rock, as in the case of "Subliminal Messages" and "Anger lives in the Decay".

In 2015 the group decided to experiment with a cover as a matter of affection, because Sepultura have left an indelible mark in the writing of the songs of the band, and with this piece we tried to do them homage. The comparisons are inevitable but he honored this group is a matter of pride. In particular, "Territory" because the text, even though it was written in 1993, is well suited to the political situation that you are living in this time.
It 'a journey into the third world oppressed, exploited and terribly miserable and Sepultura have caught so well the peculiarities that have churned out as monumental album Chaos AD, but the thing that scares you that despite the years pass, the screams and lyrics by Max on those disks unforgettable are still terribly current and concrete.
