AXE HERO PRESENTA "DREAM THE UNIVERSE" – IL NUOVO VIAGGIO SONORO FIRMATO HEART OF STEEL RECORDS

La storica band italiana AXE HERO, tra le pionieristiche formazioni Hard 'n' Heavy della scena nazionale, annuncia con orgoglio l'imminente uscita del nuovo singolo "Dream the Universe" sotto l'egida di Heart of Steel Records.

"Dream the Universe" è una ballad, un viaggio attraverso la consapevolezza e la maturità, dove l'amore si manifesta nella sua forma più pura, consolidata e rassicurante. Le melodie potenti e raffinate del chitarrista Dave Moby Laperni si fondono con i testi evocativi di Mirko DeFox che celebrano una natura incontaminata e vitale, riflettendo la profondità emotiva e la crescita artistica che hanno sempre contraddistinto gli AXE HERO.

Nati ufficialmente nel 1981, gli AXE HERO rappresentano una delle prime espressioni dell'Hard 'n' Heavy italiano. La band, guidata dai fratelli Galliazzo - Mirko DeFox (voce) e David Johansen (batteria) con Dave Moby Laperni alla chitarra, Paul Blondie Gidoni al basso e Dave Ian Valle alla chitarra - ha tracciato un percorso ineguagliabile nel panorama rock tricolore, collezionando successi e ricevendo riconoscimenti internazionali grazie a una serie di demo e produzioni discografiche che hanno fatto la storia.

Con una carriera costellata di momenti memorabili, come l'uscita della celebre demo "Brainstorm" del 1983 e le infuocate esibizioni live accanto a leggende dell'heavy metal italiano, gli AXE HERO hanno lasciato un segno indelebile nel cuore degli appassionati. AXE HERO – Il passato incontra il futuro, il sogno diventa realtà.

BIOGRAFIA: Gli AXE HERO sono nati ufficialmente nel 1981 e sono certamente una delle prime Hard ’n’ Heavy metal bands apparse in Italia. 

Costituiti dall'asse portante dei Galliazzo brothers, Mirko DeFox alla voce e David Johansen alla batteria, con Fabio Pico Piccotin al basso e Paul Blondie alla chitarra e tastiere debuttano con la prima demotape intitolata "Drive in metal", registrata artigianalmente in sala prove raccogliondo i primi tiepidi riscontri dalle primordiali fanzines, tra le quali Fireball e Hedbanger. Nel 1983 esce la prima vera demo intitolata "Brainstorm" registrata con un otto tracce analogico in uno studio di Padova che contiene due songs che ricevono subito complimenti entusiastici, i brani si intitolano "Lovin'Japan" e "Country side" con la band che si è stabilizzata con Dave Moby Laperni alla chitarra e Fabio Pico Duarte al basso. 

Grazie al supporto di alcune radio locali, quali Radio San Bonifacio, Tele Radio Veneta, Radio Stella, Radio Stereo Superstar e Radio Atestina, ma anche Radio Peter Flowers di Milano, inizia un intensa attività live che porta i nostri ad aprire come gruppo "spalla" le serate a personaggi del music system televisivo come Jo Squillo e Garbo. Dopo poco tempo sull'onda dell'entusiasmo la band pubblica una nuova demo tape intitolata "It'Rock (Against all)" che riscuote importanti e positive recensioni su tutti i migliori Rock magazines dell'epoca, da ricordare "Metal Forces" considerata la Bibbia metallica britannica, "Shock Power" zine tedesca condotta da Alex Gernandt (che poi diventerà capo redattore della celebre rivista patinata "Bravo"), su "Barst" e "Metallian" in Belgio, "Metal Brigade" in Brasile e Rockerilla in Italia. Il gruppo si guadagna un ottima fama live grazie alle performances agli heavy metal fest di Padova e Verona assieme a gente come i Crying Steel, Hocculta e Devils Claws dove viene presentato uno show molto shockante, con la band che adotta un look trasgressivo e due modelle seminude.

Nel 1985 gli Axe Hero vengono contattati dalla label americana, da Waukegan, Illinois la King Klassik Records (Hellcatz, Wrath) che invita la band a partecipare con un brano alla compilation di nuove bands emergenti. Il duo dei Galliazzo brothers recluta il vecchio e fidato Dave Moby alla chitarra in coppia con l'ex Captain Kill (in seguito Xipe) Piero Albanese e al basso Cesco Laperni, con questa line-up entrano nei prestigiosi Space Station studios ed incidono la canzone "Come back". Nel frattempo oltre oceano la rivista "Aardshock America" tributa a Mirko De Fox la palma di migliore vocalist europeo in campo Hard and Heavy.

Il disco della label americana non vedrà mai la luce, la società che la gestisce fallisce ed il brano viene così incluso nella demo tape "3°act" (1986) la prima a nome X-HERO, ma questa è un altra storia!

Axe Hero reveal the official cover of the single "Lovin Japan" created under the supervision of Mirko DeFox by the Stellaclone Design studio.

The digital single will be released worldwide on December 20, 2023, distributed through Heart Of Steel Records in all major music stores such as Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, Deezer, Shazam, Youtube and many others.

The song "Lovin Japan" was originally released by Ax Hero on their 1983 demo tape "Brainstorm".

Version 2.0 was recorded and mixed in June this year at "Gian Studios" San Bonifacio VR, with the following line up:

Gli Axe Hero svelano la copertina ufficiale del singolo "Lovin Japan" realizzata sotto la supervisione di Mirko DeFox dallo studio Stellaclone Design.

DEFOX RECORDS e QUEEN RECORDS annunciano con orgoglio di aver raggiunto un accordo con la storica band del prog italiano dei 70's LE NUVOLE DI PAGLIA per la pubblicazione di due nuovi album e un singolo.

La prima release sarà un singolo intitolato "Mr Oliver" che conterra nella side A virtuale il brano "Mr Oliver" nella side B "Ombre svolazzanti" e come bonus "Love me so in the rain". L'artwork è tratto da un quandro dipinto negli anni 70 dallo stesso frontman Franco Maria Serena e composto, adattato graficamente da Stellaclone Design.

Le successive pubblicazioni saranno l'album cantato in inglese dal titolo "I'm numbering nine stars" e l'album cantato in italiano "E' un giorno caldo, triste e fiacco".

I prodotti saranno distribuiti in  240 paesi worldwide e in oltre 120 digital webstores, includendo colossi come Itunes, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon, Google Music, Apple Music ...Il singolo digitale sarà disponibile dal 15 di Maggio 2021.

Le Nuvole Di Paglia

Nascono nel 1971 da un idea di Franco Serena che conclusa la fortunata esperienza con i l gruppo beat "Ragazzi dai capelli verdi" assesta una formazione per proporsi con una musica all'avanguardia e di tendenza progressiva. La band produce un repertorio inedito dove la voce di Franco, carismatica ed imperiosa illumina un sound sicuramente non commerciale e dalle propensioni hard. Suonano dal vivo in tutto il nord Italia riscuotendo un discreto successo e interesse, che frutterà loro una collaborazione con Alberto Radius e la Numero 1 Records.

Nel 1973 viene registrato un concerto del gruppo tenutosi al "Maxi club" di Mestre, una testimonianza sonora, autentica perla per enciclopedisti e collezionisti. Eseguono una lunga suite di quasi 14 minuti dal titolo "strange road" un vero e proprio gioiello di pop progressive, dove arpeggi semielettrici determinano i toni ipnotici e Serena eclettico inventa una travolgente performance vocale.

La band si scioglierà nel 1975 senza raggiungere il debutto discografico. Questa registrazione verrà "riesumata" dopo vent'anni dalla "Mellow Records"che darà alle stampe il CD "Live 1973". 

Successivamente nell'estate del '94 i nostri reinterpreteranno i brani degli anni'70 registrandoli con gli arrangiamenti e le parti originali dell'epoca e realizzeranno il CD intitolato "And then..." dove tra gli ospiti spicca la presenza di Aldo Tagliapietra delle Orme.

La splendida cover è opera di Franco che nei '70 fondeva la sua passione per la musica con la pittura, anche quì emergeva la creatività, poetica ed a volte surreale dell'artista padovano. Da ricordare che un brano delle Nuvole Di Paglia è stato incluso nel CD tributo ai gruppi degli anni'70 intitolato "Zarathustra's revenge"(coffanetto con 4 CD) eseguito dallo stesso Franco in versione acustica con archi.

Nella band durante il periodo iniziale si sono succeduti i seguenti musicisti;

Adolfo Baratto al basso ex Capsicum Red, Sandy Bonaiutto alla chitarra, Umberto Maschio alla batteria e Walter Bravi al basso.

I Ragazzi dai capelli verdi, originari di Padova, nascono nella seconda metà dei 60's dalle ceneri dei Ranger sound, band di ispirazione beat che ha rilasciato un solo 45 giri e che si sono sciolti dopo qualche anno.
Al contraio di altre formazioni dell'epoca che seguono l'ondata beatlesiana, il gruppo di Franco Serena prende spunto e ispirazione dal sound più ruvido e distorto vicino a gruppi come Yardbirds,Who,Pretty Things,Kinks...
I Ragazzi dai capelli firmano con una delle case discografiche più in voga, la CDB, e pubblicano il 45 giri "Ragazza notte" e "Un tipo per te" in vinile verde e con il testo di Mogol.

Parte l'avventura nelle balere e discoteche italiane, da ricordare le performance mirabolanti al Piper di Roma, dove i nostri con i capelli tinti di verde e sempre più popolari, vengono acclamati fino a raggiungere grandi consensi con recensioni entusiastiche sulle riviste Giovani e Ciao Amici.
I ragazzi dai Capelli Verdi nel 1965 appaiono anche in alcune sequenze nella pellicola cinematografica "Io la conoscevo bene" di Antonio Pietrangeli.

Dopo un apparizione nella compilation Giovani Giovani, nel 1967, arriva un nuovo 45 giri che risulterà poi l'ultima produzione, intitolata "Una città in fondo al mare" e "Ma saprei" (versione italiana di "It's too late" dei Kinks). 
I Ragazzi dai Capelli Verdi successivamente, negli anni, appariranno in qualche compilation, come "Trans World Punk" della Crawdad ne 1988, "60's Beat Italiano" della Direct hit Rec nel 1989, "Summer 66" della Contempo nel 1989, "Quei Favolosi Anni  60" della Fabbri Editori nel 1994. 
Nel 1990 i Ragazzi ci riprovano, stavolta con l'etichetta toscana Contempo, con il singolo "Burning Burning", seguito dalla raccolta "La storia" pubblicata dalla sanremese Mellow Records, 1995.
Nel 2012 grazie all'interessamento di Mirko DeFox, la Emmeciesse Music Publishing in collaborazione con la DeFox Records rilascia una tiratura limitata di Compact Disc provocando una corsa all'accaparramento da parte dei collezionisti di mezzo mondo e in breve tempo viene esaurita.

La formazione dei Ragazzi Dai Capelli Verdi comprendeva, oltre al già citato Franco Serena alla voce, Oliviero Peci e Maurizio Elponti alle due chitarre, Paolo Giuffrida al basso e Francesco Stoppa alla batteria.

DeFox Records announces the second EP "Senza Universo" by BLONDIEFOX, a product that comes after more than twenty years, originally recorded in 1996 at the White studios, these recordings were mastered this year in Anchorage in the United States with Pretty Master EQ.
The EP will be launched on the global digital market on 01 October 2019 and will be distributed in the best platforms and stores such as iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer, Youtube and many others

As in the previous release in these tracks, rock and melody are shakered with thoughts full of reflective and visionariness with electronic atmospheres, more fantasy and technique aimed at a progressive universal music.

BlondieFox is the singer Mirko "DeFox" Galliazzo and the multi-instrumentalist Paul "Blondie" Gidoni and with the guitar of Roberto Benna as "special guest".

BLONDIEFOX

BlondieFox are the singer Mirko "DeFox" Galliazzo and the multi-instrumentalist Paul "Blondie" Gidoni.
They animated the Italian rock scene of the 80s with the band "X-Hero" (legendary name of european  metal rock music) recording several demotapes, an album (1987), a 45 rpm vinyl format (2010) and various appearances in CD compilations. At the beginning of the 1990s, the desire to change artistic direction, inspiration and the pleasure of creating new music dragged the duo to found the BLONDIEFOX project.  The music draws from rock without barrierss mixing experimentalism and passion that is outlined in the drafting of songs full of atmosphere and energy.

The duo composes and records numerous auditions in Mirko's private studio and some of these favorably hit the well-known producer and singer Franco Serena (Serena Band, Ragazzi dai capelli verdi, Nuvole di paglia, Cosmos 2000 ...) who proposed them for publication on the label specializing in reprints and progressive rock called "Mellow records".
The "Agua" CD is produced and printed which contains 15 remixed tracks in collaboration with another well-known producer and publisher, Aldo Menti in his Valdagno studio (Vicenza).
The disc receives warm consents also due to the scarce distribution in stores, this reason is due to privilege mail order targeted only to amateurs and collectors implemented by the Sanremo label.

The unstoppable creative vein of BlondieFox transports them to Aldo Menti's "White studios" that wants to produce a new album, 10 new songs are recorded with as "special guest" guitarist Roberto Benna.
The album that should have been published by "Tring International" (the label that launched the CD "Linea Azzurra" with famous names like Le Orme, Rettore, Drupi, Bennato, Fogli ....) is instead "frozen".
In this work, rock and melody merge with thoughts full of reflection and depth, technological atmospheres that break down every sound barrier, fantasy and technique no longer secret towards a progressive and universal music.

It should be noted that Mirko is invited by the producer Mauro Moroni to present a cover/song in the quadruple CD of tribute to the Italian rock progressives of the 70s, BlondieFox choose the song "Neve calda" of Balletto di Bronzo.
In the Tributes also many foreign groups appear (American, Japanese, English ...) the product is packaged in a wonderful deluxe package, a precious "Gem" for collectors.

After more than twenty years, Mirko DeFox decides to publish with his label several unreleased recordings remained for years in the drawer !!

The first product to see the light is an EP with 6 tracks entitled "Il triste canto dell'uomo bianco (The sad song of the white man)" where the themes and texts, written by four hands by Mirko and Paul, in a moment of great inspiration around 1996, in a manner sorpendente almost prophetically anticipate the existential, environmental and social problems that today are daily news.

L'intento di Matteo Favretto aka Mistermat è realizzare un album che non fosse soltanto uno sterile contenitore di canzoni.
Come dice lui stesso "Ho voluto mettere le idee in ordine, ma creatività e razionalità sono in me, in eterno conflitto, ho pensato così di scrivere semplicemente come mi sentivo in quel periodo., gran parte dei pezzi si sono sviluppati in pochi giorni, mi sentivo spontaneo e sereno, nonostante stessi trascorrendo un periodo personale piuttosto agitato.
Blackboard, il brano che apre l’album, parla di un ragazzo in stato di esaurimento nervoso, nella sua mente c’è confusione quasi psichedelica, sa come uscirne ma teme di aprire l’ultima porta che trova davanti a se, e scoprire il cambiamento che essa rappresenta.
Il concept dell’album è un tortuoso percorso interiore, che porta alla propria consapevolezza."

Mistermat continua "Amo molto la musica semplice, con pochi accordi e molta intensità e cerco suoni incisivi, presenti e graffianti. 
Mi sento un musicista rock e blues, tengo alla italianità delle mie composizioni, poiché penso che possa dare un tocco di originalità al mio stile ed al mio genere musicale.
Per questo motivo ho pensato ad un gatto bianco (White Cat) che suona rockblues, balzellando beffardo e senza curarsene troppo tra l’essere italiano e il comporre brani in un genere tra il blues (musica nera) ed il rock (che per certi versi potremmo considerare più occidentale!)
Infine uso il termine Hardblues piuttosto che rock blues, poiché rappresenta maggiormente il mio percorso (ascolto dei grandi musicisti, studio, cover bands in cui ho suonato ecc.) ed anche allude alla mia più grande aspirazione artistica, Essere un vero bluesman!"

The legendary Prehispanic Death Metal XIPE TOTEC has returned with a new album called "Axomimitl" (crossed with arrows in Nahuatl language). This 2017 duo formed by Alex Camacho and Martin Martinez have achieved their most experimental album throughout their career. They gathered elements of their previous works to unify in "Axomimitl" a solid work in melody, harmony, speed, and brutality between multiple Pre-Columbian passages.
The introductions of Anthropology Documentaries and films on pre-Hispanic topics have been added here to show the listener a cultural boost. They follow the lyrics in Nahuatl language to get the appropriate atmosphere that has characterized XIPE TOTEC lately. A marshy, muddy, ancestral sound. A new element in this album has been the synthesizer pads to achieve an epic reminder of the Mesoamerican past cultures.
The longer, more melodic, more epic songs make "Axomimitl" the fundamental resource of composition. They incorporate different flutes and rattles that had not been played on previous records. Human sacrifices, mythology, and ancestral cosmovision, are basic in the lyric line, based on ancient legends and archaeological studies. As the Pre-Hispanic Metal is not only about dancers, nor say that they are warriors, it is also about a lot of reading and research. Here Archeology is a fundamental science as is music to art.
A song in particular, makes use of Spanish acoustic guitars, in strange conjunction with a pre-Hispanic passage. This rare fusion is allusive mainly to miscegenation, predominant in Latin America. Perhaps many find it strange, but the experimentation in this disk of XIPE TOTEC has been the main engine to go ahead.
If you want to listen to a fusion alternative in terms of ancient cultures, especially Mexihcah, the opportunity to listen to this new album by XIPE TOTEC "Axomimitl", wants to devastate your ears and that trips to the past of a Mexico Ancient ... to the mystical path of the Mexihcah.

Jose Sanchez has been rockin' and singing since the very early 80's, hes been involved as the lead singer in bands such as Sanchez Sweden, Breakers, Empire Saint, Fierce Conviction (Later Conviction) Lies and Dr.Dream to name a few. He's been playing live in the small and big stages and as opening act to Dee Snider, The Poodles, Easy Action and White Lion.
With the band Empire Sant back in mid 80's he recorded a single and an Ep (R'N'S) and later in the 90's he recorded 2 full lenght cd's with Fierce Conviction (Conviction) and ended up recording 3 cd's with he's own band Sanchez Sweden in 2007, 2011 and 2013.

Now in 2016 Jose Sanchez is back with solo project besides 2 bands that are still alive Empire Saint and Sanchez Sweden. With 2 new songs from the last years release, here comes a 4 track Ep wich is a selection of raw demos.

The EP titled "Where the shadows stalk" contains 4 songs in vein of Modern Heavy Metal, originally published in CD format in 2010.

The Nocturne's project was born in Turin in 1999 by guitarist and composer Davide Masuelli. The first compositions were trying to melt the dark ambient music of the Raison d'Etre with the Gothic Rock sounds of the London After Midnight. The intention was to convey feelings and emotions even without using the voice.
The project has began as a trio formed by Davide and Massimo Cannoniero on rhythm and lead guitar and Luca Ramasso at the bass. The first job does not get the expected success because different points of view regarding music begin to rise. Therefore the members of the band start to take different paths. From Dark and Gothic style, to thrash metal style, Sodom, Slayer and early Metallica.
The compositional process does not stop and in 2008 Davide has his first 4 tracks finished.

The heavier style, from the first compositions requires a singing part, and the meeting with musician and sound engineer Andreas Polito owner of ROCK LAB in Turin, known for his work with artists such as Marco Minnemann (Joe Satriani, Steven Wilson Paul Gilbert etc..), Fabio Lione (Rhapsody, Vision Divine, Kamelot, Angra etc.), John Macaluso (Symphony X, James La Brie, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc.), Ricardo Confessors (Angra Shaman, etc.) marks the beginning of a new project page.
From that moment Davide dedicates himself exclusively to the song's composition while Andreas will ensure the preparation of vocals recording, masterfully performed by Andrea Racco (Ralkeon). Singer of the Opening Scenery and recently of the Etherna, the band's keyboardist Alessio Lucatti of theVision Divine. The lyrics are headed by Luca Ramasso.
Everything comes to life in 2010 with a project that includes 4 tracks called “Where the Shadows Stalk”.
The enthusiasm for the consents received, leads Davide to compose 5 more songs to rely again on Luca for the lyrics' writing. This time the need to give a professional touch in this new work brings Davide to exploit the abilities of the multi-instrumentalist Andreas Polito for the execution of the parts as guitar and bass and programmer for the drums and keyboards. Giving him the task of sound engineer and producer of the vocal lines, this time performed by Ralkeon.

In 2012, they released their second demo called "Mother". In this work we find the styles and influences from the beginning, in fact the sound and atmosphere are more gloomy and melancholy, with hints of electronic music and rock is 'less aggressive and more' melodic.
Special guest John Macaluso, drummer of international renown, now in Symphony X, known for his work with artists such as Yngwie J. Malmsteen and James LaBrie (Canadian singer best known for his role as lead singer of Dream Theater). In the songs "Mother" and "Along the Road" Macaluso worked on their submission giving a personal interpretation.
This work is well welcomed and received very good reviews both for the composition part and music.
In April 2014, for legal reasons, the original name is changed from Nocturne to Nocturna A.D.
The first two Ep, however, retain the original name.
The composition of the songs from the new album "Run Through Hell" of 2014 collects old song of the period 1999-2001. "Nothing to be everything" and "A new power" deepen the trademark thrash of the project, "Marionette" stretches in fact a bridge between Gothic Rock (London After Midnight) and the Italian Progressive Rock (Goblin), then moved toward atmospheres decidedly more Hard Rock, as in the case of "Subliminal Messages" and "Anger lives in the Decay".

In 2015 the group decided to experiment with a cover as a matter of affection, because Sepultura have left an indelible mark in the writing of the songs of the band, and with this piece we tried to do them homage. The comparisons are inevitable but he honored this group is a matter of pride. In particular, "Territory" because the text, even though it was written in 1993, is well suited to the political situation that you are living in this time.
It 'a journey into the third world oppressed, exploited and terribly miserable and Sepultura have caught so well the peculiarities that have churned out as monumental album Chaos AD, but the thing that scares you that despite the years pass, the screams and lyrics by Max on those disks unforgettable are still terribly current and concrete.
